Job Description: Investment Banker – Early-Stage and Pre-IPO Acquisitions

Position Overview:
The Investment Banker will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and executing investment strategies focused on early-stage companies, Pre-IPO acquisitions, and secondary and primary fundraising transactions. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of financial markets, robust analytical skills, and the ability to manage high-value transactions effectively. The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Accountant (CA) with expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and deal execution.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Investment Strategy Development:
• Develop and execute investment strategies for unlisted, Pre-IPO, and startup companies.
• Conduct in-depth market research to identify opportunities and risks in target sectors.
• Stay updated on global and local economic developments influencing investment decisions.

1. Financial Analysis and Due Diligence:
• Perform detailed analysis of financial statements, business models, and valuation reports.
• Conduct due diligence, including market research, competitive analysis, and risk assessments for target companies.
• Create financial models and forecasts to assess the viability of investment opportunities.

1. Deal Sourcing and Execution:
• Source and evaluate investment opportunities for primary and secondary transactions.
• Negotiate term sheets, shareholder agreements, and deal structures.
• Lead end-to-end transaction processes, including regulatory compliance, stakeholder management, and deal closure.

1. Fundraising:
• Work on primary fundraises for companies and assist with private placements for secondary shares.
• Build strong relationships with venture capital firms, institutional investors, and family offices for fundraising efforts.

1. Portfolio Management:
• Monitor the performance of investment portfolios to ensure alignment with strategy and objectives.
• Conduct periodic reviews and suggest necessary adjustments for enhanced portfolio performance.

1. Reporting and Communication:
• Prepare detailed investment reports, including deal updates, market analysis, and financial performance insights.
• Communicate investment rationale, strategies, and results to senior stakeholders and clients.

1. Team Collaboration and Compliance:
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless execution of deals.
• Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Mandatory Requirements:
• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
• Proven experience in investment banking, with a focus on early-stage and Pre-IPO acquisitions.
• In-depth knowledge of financial markets, valuations, and deal structuring.

• Expertise in financial modeling, valuation methodologies, and analyzing complex financial reports.
• Advanced understanding of capital markets, regulatory compliance, and transaction processes.
