About the Role

The role s primary purpose is to organize and manage the accounting operations promptly and diligently. This will include general accounting, administrative tasks, timely accurate filing of returns. You will report to the Regional Financial Controller.


Your Responsibility

  • Recording of transactions in software based on correct supporting documents.
  • Ensuring compliance with local accounting standards, policies and regulations.
  • Ensuring the timely accurate filing of monthly/quarterly/half yearly/annual tax financial returns.
  • Preparing local Finance policies and ensuring they are being followed.
  • Preparing routine reports, PL, Balance sheets, statutory reports and other ad hoc reports.
  • Preparing Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Preparing timely payments to vendors and government dues.
  • Invoicing clients and ensuring timely collection of receivables.
  • Managing and preparing weekly cash flows.
  • Coordinating employee-related activities and overseeing office administration tasks.
  • Ensuring all transactions have correct document support and are properly filed.
  • Checking reimbursement claims and ensuring they are reasonable supported by proper invoices.
  • Any other work as assigned by your Supervisor.



Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the Accounting department.
  • Familiarity with accounting principles and local regulations.
  • Exposure to payroll practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English local language.
  • Computer literate with capability in MS Office or Google Suite, and related communication tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Professional manner and a strong ethical code.
  • Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive.
  • Commitment to working efficiently and accurately.
  • Knowledge of Accounting Software Xero is advantageous.
