Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our companys desktop computers, servers, and other office-related technology. The Desktop Support Engineer will ensure that our employees can work efficiently and without technical disruptions.

Key Responsibilities:

• As the point of contact for technical assistance, this individual will provide end-to-end support to employees, addressing both hardware and software issues. Their role is critical in ensuring smooth operations across our organization
• Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop, and peripheral device issues.
• Assist with network connectivity problems and ensure stable internet access.
• Perform regular maintenance and updates on servers.
• Monitor server performance and address any issues that arise.
• Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and software applications.
• Set up new user accounts and workstations.
• Ensure all desktops and laptops are configured to company standards.
• Manage hardware inventory, including desktops, laptops, monitors, and other peripherals.
• Coordinate repairs and replacements for defective equipment.
• Set up and configure new hardware as needed.
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect data and systems.
• Perform regular virus and malware scans.
• Provide regular reports on system performance and support activities.
• Offer remote support as needed.
• Collaborate with external vendors and service providers for specialized support.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Familiarity with server management tools and software.
• Proficient in networking concepts and troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventory.
• Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Education | Certifications:

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)

CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or similar certifications are a plus.
