Ruby on Rails Engineer (Full Stack)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer with expertise in Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, React, Tailwind CSS, and Microservices Architecture. The ideal candidate should have experience in building scalable web applications, optimizing backend performance, and designing intuitive front-end interfaces. Experience in medical or AI-driven applications is a plus. This is a contract-based role requiring full-time hours, with a work schedule of Monday to Friday, eight hours per day, in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and scale web applications using Ruby on Rails for backend services.
• Design and implement responsive, user-friendly UI using React and Tailwind CSS.
• Work with PostgreSQL for database modeling, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services.
• Understanding of microservices architecture to build scalable and maintainable applications.
• Ensure security best practices for authentication, authorization, and data protection.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, and Product Managers.
• Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and agile development processes.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure high code quality.
• Stay updated with the latest web technologies and suggest improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in Ruby on Rails development.
• Strong front-end skills with React.js, Tailwind CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience in PostgreSQL and relational database design.
• Good understanding of Microservices Architecture and API development.
• Hands-on experience with Git, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Familiarity with testing frameworks like RSpec, Jest, or Cypress.
• Experience in Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Background in Medical projects or AI/ML integrations.
