Accountant Trainee

Summary

This position will be responsible for Supporting core accounting in US JDE Instances on routine activity.

Responsibilities

1. Prepare journal entries and post in JDE.
2. Upload JE support in JDE.
3. Submit the task in Blackline monthly.
4. Support in Payroll accounting specially in analysis and reporting.
5. Record and amortize prepaid expenses and intangible assets.
6. Intercompany data download (monthly twice).
7. Daily update of Fx rates in JDE in different ERP Instances (USD, Euro, GBP, AUD, CHF & INR)
8. Download reports and organize in usable and accessible format from Different ERP like JDE, SAP BI, Coupa (Weekly/ Monthly task)
9. Document support preparation for Auditors.
10. Ensure 100% SOX compliance

Skills

• Commerce Graduate
• Tech Savvy, experience in MS Excel
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently (post training) and with strong attention to accuracy and detail.
• Ability to think creatively and be highly driven and self-motivated.
• An individual who takes ownership of assigned work.
• Interest in developing career in general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, consolidations and SOX compliance.

Learning plan with milestone based outcomes

• Using website for download of Fx rates, upload in system daily. Within first 3 months.
• Learning best practices of using MS Office like Excel, Word. Within first 3 months.
• Learning new software. JD Edwards, Blackline, SAP BI, Coupa. Within first 6 months.
• Time Management. Ensure all entrusted task are within preset Turnaround time. Within first 6 months.
• Attending and active participation in calls with US Stakeholders. Within first 1 year.
• Working above tasks independently without followup, training or supervision. Within first 1 year.
• Showcase achievement/ improvement following Amneal Culture of Rise, Lead and Succeed. Within 2 years.
