ABOUT THE ROLE

In this vital role you will as a Software engineer

• Develop, maintain, and support full-stack web, UI, data, and AI applications in Databricks and AWS, ensuring efficiency, security, and compliance with business requirements.
• Optimize AWS and Databricks infrastructure for optimal performance.
• Generate clear and concise documentation for new and existing features to ensure smooth handovers and future reference.
• Collaborate with team members and collaborators to translate project requirements into functional technical designs.
• Conduct peer code reviews, develop unit tests, and ensure adherence to standard processes for high-quality, maintainable code.
• Identify opportunities to automate tasks and develop reusable frameworks.
• Work effectively in an Agile development environment
• Apply tools like GIT, Jenkins, and CI/CD for code versioning and deployment.
• Continuously learn and adopt the latest technologies and standard processes in cloud services, automation, and secure software development.

Basic Qualifications:

• Masters degree in computer science or engineering field and 0 to 1 years of relevant experience OR
• Bachelors degree in computer science or engineering field and 1 to 3 years of relevant experience OR
• Diploma and Minimum of 5+ years of relevant work experience

• Experience in developing full stack applications
• Proficient in development of APIs
• Proficient in use of DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL
• Program skills in one or more computer languages SQL, Python, Java
• Experience in UI frameworks (Angular.js or React.js)
• Exposure to Jira or Rally.
• Experienced with AWS

• Familiarity with the use of AI for development productivity, such as GitHub Copilot, Databricks Assistant, Amazon Q Developer
• Experienced with software engineering best-practices, including but not limited to version control (Git, Subversion, etc.), CI/CD (Jenkins, Maven etc.), automated unit testing, and Dev Ops
• Experienced with Databricks or Azure cloud services
• Experienced with infrastructure as code, unit and integration testing frameworks.

• Excellent analytical and solve skills
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills (English) in translating technology content into business-language at different levels
• Ability to work effectively with global, teams
• High degree of initiative and self-motivation
