This position is part of the Revenue Team, the Team Lead is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate completions for a variety of accounting, and billing functions to support the Columbia Management Investment Advisers, LLC ("CMIA") revenue management.
Key Responsibilities
Leads the Gurugram Team responsible for providing billing management, reconciliation, collections and solutions to Columbia Management Investment Advisers, LLC, across its product offerings and platforms. Drives accountability of team by managing and monitoring key operational metrics are achieved. Manages workload balancing and team delivery of commitments to ensure service level agreements ( SLA ) are met. Review on going revenue accruals and invoicing.
Ensures appropriate controls and procedures are in order and all audit, legal, and regulatory requirements are adhered to. Review of new accounts, amended accounts, and terminated accounts fee schedules. Ensure changes to pricing agreements are accurately recorded in revenue accrual and invoicing process. Ensure detailed and accurate record keeping and maintenance of client records and files. Supports internal and external audits requirements. Research and resolve issues quickly and with a sense of urgency and accuracy.
During tight deadlines, ability to step in and help with the invoicing process. Address day to day operational issues and requests in a timely manner and any ad-hoc requests as needed. This role possibly will continue to take on additional responsibilities over time, as opportunities and benefits are identified.
Fosters a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvements to achieve increases in efficiency, service and quality. Motivates staff with appropriate recognition and feedback.
Required Qualifications
5+ years accounting experience
Accounting degree/diploma
Experience with Microsoft Office tools, such as Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to generate MIS reports in PowerPoint.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Advanced Excel and Access skills
Strong accounting, analytical, and problem solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Workday accounting system
Post Graduation in relevant stream
Ability to look at processes and make improvements
Good organizational skills - i. e. time management, ability to follow and write process documents
Ability to understand end-to-end process flows, systems, controls and impacts across the work they support
