Finance Audit Executive

Objective:

The Finance & Operations Auditor will ensure that all financial payments are thoroughly verified and approved, official purchases are accounted for, stock is properly received and tracked, and receivables are managed effectively. This role combines financial scrutiny, inventory control, and receivables oversight to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Payment Verification:

1. Verify all payments for:
• Proper approval by authorized personnel.
• Valid invoices and supporting documents.
• Compliance with company policies and budgets.
2. Ensure payments are for official purposes only and flag any irregularities.

Inventory Control:

1. Confirm that all purchased items are received and recorded in inventory systems.
2. Maintain accurate stock records and periodically review inventory.
3. Generate and monitor usage reports for consumables and equipment to track efficiency and avoid misuse.

Receivables Management:

1. Monitor receivables to ensure timely collections and maintain healthy cash flow.
2. Reconcile receivables with records and follow up with internal teams or clients for resolution of discrepancies.
3. Generate periodic aging reports for outstanding receivables.

Compliance and Reporting:

1. Generate reports on payments, stock usage, and receivables for management review.
2. Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.
3. Identify process gaps in payment approvals, inventory management, or receivables tracking and recommend improvements.

Required Qualifications:

Educational Background:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or Business Administration.

Work Experience:

• 3-6 years of experience in finance operations, accounts payable/receivable, or inventory control.
• Hands-on experience with payment processes, receivables management, and stock control.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in financial software like Tally.
• Advanced MS Excel skills for reporting, reconciliation, and analysis.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and coordination abilities to interact with finance, procurement, and operations teams.
