Accounts Receivable Accountant

Position: Accounts Receivables Executive
Location: Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad
Department: Finance/Accounts
Reporting To: Accounts Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1. Invoice Generation and Management:
   
• Generate and issue accurate invoices based on sales orders, dispatches, and agreed terms.
• Ensure all invoices comply with company policies and applicable tax regulations.
2. Payment Collection:
   
• Track and manage outstanding receivables, ensuring timely collection from customers.
• Regularly follow up with clients through calls, emails, and meetings to ensure prompt payments.
• Address and resolve payment delays, discrepancies, or disputes.
3. Customer Account Reconciliation:
   
• Periodically reconcile customer accounts to ensure accuracy of payments and balances.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in invoices, receipts, and credit notes.
4. Credit Management:
   
• Monitor customer credit limits and payment history to mitigate credit risk.
• Prepare reports for overdue accounts and escalate issues as per company policy.
5. Reporting and Analysis:
   
• Prepare and maintain accounts receivable aging reports.
• Provide regular updates to management on receivable status, overdue accounts, and collection performance.
• Analyze trends in payment delays to recommend improvements in processes.
6. Compliance and Documentation:
   
• Maintain accurate records of invoices, payments, credit memos, and adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other applicable tax regulations.
• Support audit requirements by providing necessary data and documents.
7. Collaboration:
   
• Work closely with the sales, dispatch, and logistics teams to ensure smooth billing and payment processes.
• Coordinate with customers to resolve queries related to invoices, deliveries, or returns.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Experience: 2-4 years of experience in accounts receivable, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setup.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Tally.
• Strong command of MS Excel for reporting and reconciliation.
• Knowledge of GST, TDS, and other tax regulations relevant to the manufacturing industry.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Timeliness and accuracy of invoice generation.
• Percentage of overdue accounts collected within target timeframes.
• Accuracy in account reconciliation and reporting.
• Reduction in Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
• Compliance with tax regulations and audit readiness.
