Qualification: CA or MBA or B.Tech

  • Requirement - Minimum 3 years of experience in credit risk and policy management, Process Automation , Digital lending Risk/Credit

Purpose of the Role

To undertake key tasks pertaining to Risk & Policy Management for the MSME Finance vertical (Unsecured Business Loan LAP etc.), drive automation in Credit/Risk related processes to drive productivity and efficiency in Organization . He need to work closely with all stakeholders like sales, credit, collections, product, IT operations, compliance etc.



Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of Credit underwriting and related processes
  • Strong knowledge of LOS and LMS systems and other related latest tools for credit automation in Retail lending for MSME
  • Risk management including handling policy work, documentation
  • Understanding of products like Unsecured Business Loan, LAP etc – in terms of product frameworks, eligibility assessments, key risks in each category of funding and controls required
  • Ability to develop borrower eligibility assessment modules, SME scorecards
  • Market knowledge of competition policies, practices, regulatory developments
  • Broad understanding of industry evaluation techniques
  • Up to date with latest in the field of FinTech and other credit assessment modules available in order to strengthen the underwriting framework


Technical Skills

1. MS Office- Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint applications is a must
2. Data management, Visualization and analytics skills - proficiency (High level)
3. In depth understanding of Technology and latest trends in credit Automation for MSME lending

Primary Functions & Responsibilities

  • Detailed understanding of digitization and automation of Retail underwriting and associated risks related to the same
  • Detailed understanding and exposure of writing BRD (Business requirement document) and BRE (Business rule engine) for credit process automation and driving productivity of credit team
  • Proficient in writing SOP;s and customer journey which are in compliance with RBI and other regulations
  • Analyze business information to identify process improvements for increasing business effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Development of new programs and credit risk policies (MSME business) in line with the enterprise risk practices.
  • Setting up the lending policy framework by understanding business and assessing credit risks on a periodic basis.
  • Lead and set-up a robust practice of identifying early delinquencies, process of EWS through bureau scrubs and other tools like Static Pool etc.
  • To apply knowledge of existing guidelines on risk exposure, provisioning, ECL and asset classification
  • Responsible for policy formulation and risk governance through collaboration with credit, business, operations and compliance teams.
  • Detailed portfolio monitoring on various demographic, bureau-based, industry and other parameters driving meaningful analysis for credit underwriting
  • Responsible for interacting with partners policy team in case of co-lending programs
  • Analyze the existing products in market and suggest new products through timely credit policy calibrations while maintaining portfolio quality as per defined risk numbers in budget
  • To keep track of delinquency levels and ensuring that learnings from delinquencies are acted upon and leading to real time credit policy updates under the feedback loop
  • Carrying out effective hind sighting of loan files and presenting report to CRO post discussion with National Credit head for corrective action and improvement
  • Responsible for driving new policy designing & implementation, changes to existing policy in line with company vision and focus areas, regulatory changes, competition mapping, new product support- Conceptualization & Dissemination.
  • Proactively working with the fron- line teams to ensure comprehensive and accurate capture of borrower + loan data to enable study of trends in on boarding
  • Monitoring Through-The-Door (TTD) business onboarded under the Credit Policy framework for concentration risk, geographical trends and other Risk triggers etc.
  • Responsible for driving standardization of credit processes as well as documentation
