Key job responsibilities
- Develop test strategies, and automated test cases
- Build test infrastructure/environment to support manual and automation testing
- Use technical knowledge to create, execute, and maintain test plans and automation involving one or more product components and/or features
- Create and maintain automation scripts, and make configuration changes
- Troubleshoot test failures/automation failures and isolate bugs to help developers research the root cause of defects
- Perform initial defect triage and root cause analysis, and escalate roadblocks/risks
- Enhance test processes and mechanisms

About the team
The Amazon Emerging Devices Software (EDS) is part of the Amazon Devices team. We design and engineer high-profile consumer electronics, including the best-selling Echo devices. Our portfolio also includes innovative devices like Amazon Echo buds, Echo Frames and Echo Auto. What will you help us create next? - 1+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field
- Experience in manual testing
- Experience in automation testing
- In-depth knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Java and ability to automate test cases
- Familiarity with automation testing tools such as Pytest, Appium, Cypress, etc. . .
- Working knowledge of Linux, Windows, MacOS, Cloud (AWS) environments and their development tools
- Familiarity with Hardware & Software development process and lifecycle (HDLC and SDLC)
- Good knowledge of QA methodologies and tools (TestRail, JIRA, Confluence, etc. . . )
- Ability to write test plans and test strategy documents
- Ability to understand functional/technical specifications and analyze data
- Ability to work both independently and being part of a team
