Roles & Responsibilities :

To oversee the maintenance, development, and enhancement of gardens, landscapes, and green spaces. Responsible for ensuring the upkeep of existing landscapes, planning new development projects, identifying and managing seasonal plant diseases, and handling pesticides safely and effectively. Needs to understand the horticultural practices, pest control, and landscape management to ensure the aesthetic and health of the plants and environments under care.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the maintenance and care of gardens and landscaped areas in the factory premises
• Supervise a team of horticulture team to ensure proper maintenance routines, including planting, pruning, watering, and fertilizing.
• Monitor plant health and respond proactively to any issues with plant growth or soil quality.
• Plan and implement landscaping projects for new areas, ensuring optimal plant selection and sustainable landscaping practices.
• Collaborate with designers and planners to execute new garden designs and layouts.
• Ensure proper installation of irrigation systems, lighting, and other landscape features.
• Identify, diagnose, and manage seasonal plant diseases and pests affecting the garden or landscape areas.
• Develop and implement preventative plant health care strategies to minimize the occurrence of plant diseases.
• Safely handle, store, and apply pesticides, herbicides, and other chemicals in accordance with local regulations and safety standards.
• Train staff on the safe handling of pesticides and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Supervise and mentor a team of horticulturists and garden staff, ensuring that all work is carried out to high standards.
• Provide training on proper horticultural techniques, plant care, and pest management.
• Develop and maintain a schedule for team tasks to ensure efficient operation and consistent results.
• Prepare regular reports on the condition of plants, progress of landscape projects, and any pest or disease management activities.
• Monitor and manage budgets for landscape maintenance and development projects.
• Implement sustainable horticultural practices, such as water conservation, organic gardening, and eco-friendly pest control methods.
• Ensure that landscaping projects meet environmental standards and promote biodiversity.
