The Compliance Analyst is responsible for both daily export compliance operations and tactical, strategic management of the company s export compliance program. Candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn new skills and develop independent decision-making capabilities pertaining to export reviews, and good judgement in interpreting and applying regulatory requirements. The role will engage business stakeholders, as needed, to develop and implement initiatives aimed at continuous improvement of company s export screening processes across product lines and content delivery mechanisms.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for demonstrating company s compliance with global and national export control regulations and policies
Implementation, monitoring, and updating the export screening requirements configured in Amber Road and Flexera systems for consistency and to correct for causes of false positives ( e.g., restricted company name keeps blocking a customer with a similar name based on poor matching)
Ensure screening processes reflect updated notices and regulatory changes ( e.g., updated lists of restricted companies, users, and countries are added to ongoing screening criteria)
Perform first level manual review of all rejected export entries using the checklist of common reasons for a false positive; if needed, perform a secondary review of rejected entries using research to determine whether the basis for rejection is relevant and accurate; escalate all remaining rejected entries to Product counsel for determination
Work with Sales leads to prioritize unblocking current customers users that are rejected at activation
Ensure that manually approved/cleared leads are fed back into the marketing funnel for outreach
Use training and templates to identify and address deemed export scenarios (e .g., events and published content for which export screening is required, employee screenings)
Build reports and mechanisms to bulk upload entries for export screening, as needed
Provide summary updates to leadership as needed
Ensure adequate documentation of actions taken, consistent with regulatory requirements
Conduct working sessions with key stakeholder groups to identify and address gaps in the company s export screening processes
Performs other duties and projects as assigned
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Technical and organizational skills and experience required to perform the requirements of the role
Intermediate to advanced skills utilizing the Microsoft Office 360 suite of applications, including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams/SharePoint, and Outlook, and creating data flow maps
Proven ability to successfully multi-task, prioritize tasks, remain responsive and agile to changes in business priorities, and to deliver pragmatic, risk-based recommendations
Ability to create and deliver effective presentations to business teams
Demonstrated ability to work and manage time spent on projects independently and with little supervision while performing duties
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR LICENSES:
Minimum of 3-5 years direct experience working in one or more disciplines related to the role ( e.g., policy, law, compliance, information security, operational risk management, audit, records management, project management, eDiscovery)
Demonstrated experience applying a detailed framework or regulatory requirements
