Product Portfolio Manager - Pharmaceuticals

Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced, decisive, and innovative individual into Product Management to join our expanding operations and build product portfolio of finished formulations for ROW markets.

The aspirant will focus on developing and managing finished formulation product categories, help make important guiding decisions regarding existing products and product development, and work collaboratively with other teams to attain our shared corporate goals and maximize profitability. You should be a strong leader with excellent management skills who is able to motivate and innovate on a daily basis.

Job Description:

• Assists in strategy implementation for a product category and researches new product options in the category to drive sales and achieve targets
• Provide category insights and proposals by analyzing marketing and customer data and monitoring relevant market conditions
• Works closely with sales team to determine optimal pricing through analysis of sales trends, competitors, buying habits and planograms of products to promote sales opportunities
• Researching and providing effective promotional materials
• Looks for manufacturers across the world developing and manufacturing products in the company's pipeline
• Develop relationship and source products with existing and new manufacturers
• Manage end to end logistics and delivery of product from manufacturing to delivery at the warehouse
• Keep a close watch on product inventory and sales trend to trigger orders and maintain sufficient stock
• May have to develop special arrangements with vendors to enhance product promotions
• Report to a head of a unit/department
• Provide input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility
• May give input into developing the budget
• Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments

Desired Candidate Profile:

• A pharmacy or pure sciences graduate having experience of pharmaceutical industry product management is most preferred
• MBA in sales, marketing, or related field
• Minimum 2 years experience in product portfolio or category management
• Experience in sourcing, product portfolio management, purchasing will be advantageous
• Ability to foresee market trends and stay ahead of the competition
• Collaborative and team player
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Skilled in Microsoft Office and database management programs
