Position Overview:

- We are seeking an experienced Currencies Trader with a strong track record in trading G7 and emerging market currencies across Spot, Forwards, Options, and Volatility markets.

- The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of proven and consistent revenue generation in similar markets, with a deep understanding of market dynamics, risk management, and trading strategies.

- The successful candidate will join a dynamic trading team focused on delivering alpha through quantitative, technical, and model-driven approaches. Candidates with prior experience on Hedge Funds or High-Frequency Trading (HFT) desks will have a competitive edge.

Key Responsibilities:

- Execute and manage trades in G7 and emerging market currencies across multiple instruments, including Spot, Forwards, Options, and Volatility markets.

- Develop and implement profitable trading strategies, leveraging quant models, technical charting, and market expertise.

- Monitor market conditions and macroeconomic developments to identify trading opportunities.

- Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, currency correlations, and volatility drivers.

- Manage and optimize risk within pre-approved limits, ensuring adherence to internal risk management protocols.

- Collaborate with quant, research, and technology teams to enhance trading models and strategies.

- Stay informed about regulatory requirements and ensure compliance in all trading activities.

Key Qualifications & Background:

- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of consistent revenue generation in G7 and emerging market currency trading.

- Markets Expertise: Deep knowledge of Spot, Forwards, Options, and Volatility markets.

- Quant and Technical Skills: Strong understanding of quantitative modeling, risk management, and technical charting.

- Track Record: Demonstrated success in developing and executing profitable trading strategies.

- Education: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.

Advantageous Experience:

- Prior role at a Hedge Fund or HFT desk.

- Knowledge of algorithmic trading and market-making strategies.

- Experience in navigating complex regulatory environments.

- Tools Proficiency: Proficiency in Bloomberg and advanced Microsoft Excel; familiarity with coding languages (Python, R) is a plus.

- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with financial software (Bloomberg) is a plus.

- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Compensation

Salary will be discussed individually with selected candidates and will be competitive with industry norms. Compensation will include a significant performance-linked bonus component.

Location: Mumbai - This is a full-time, in-office role. Candidates from outside the location should be prepared to relocate.
