Power BI Developer - Data Visualization (3-5 yrs)

About the Role :

As a Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive and insightful data visualizations.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement robust data models, including star schemas and snowflake schemas.

- Transform and clean data from various sources, such as SQL databases, Excel spreadsheets, and cloud-based data sources.

- Create visually appealing and interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI's rich visualization capabilities.

- Utilize a variety of chart types, including line charts, bar charts, pie charts, and maps, to effectively communicate data insights.

- Design user-friendly dashboards that are easy to navigate and understand.

- Integrate data from various sources using Power Query to create a unified data model.

- Transform and clean data to ensure accuracy and consistency.

- Optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for performance, especially when dealing with large datasets.

- Implement techniques to improve query performance and reduce load times.

- Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs.

- Translate business requirements into technical solutions.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest Power BI features and best practices.

- Adhere to industry standards and best practices for data visualization and reporting.

Required Skills and Experience :

- Strong proficiency in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.

- Expertise in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for creating complex calculations and measures.

- Experience with Power Query for data cleaning, transformation, and loading.

- Knowledge of SQL for querying databases and data extraction.

- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and data modeling techniques.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
