We are a tech-enabled company where all business transactions are stored in a centralised company datastore and made available for reporting and reconciliation

Financial transactions are processed exclusively through Razorpay, using Razorpay Payroll for payroll, Razorpay X for vendor payouts, and Razorpay Payment Gateway for incoming payments.

As we continue to scale and aim for a 10x growth trajectory, we are seeking a Finance Lead to lead and own our accounting, compliance, and financial operations.

Role Description

1) Accounting & Financial Management:

Take full ownership of accounting and ensure books are clean, accurate, and compliant with statutory requirements.

Maintain and reconcile monthly MIS for transactions and quarterly Financial Statement while ensuring alignment with the centralised datastore.

Conduct end-to-end reconciliation of all financial transactions processed through Razorpay or otherwise, ensuring data consistency and accuracy.

Collaborate with the analytics team to develop accurate financial reports and insights.

2) Compliance:

Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, including GST filings, TDS filings, Annual FLA reporting, Provident Fund, and Professional Tax.

Oversee payroll processing and compliance, leveraging Razorpay Payroll and automating processes wherever possible.

3) Vendor Payments & TDS Oversight:

Manage vendor payment workflows, ensuring TDS deductions are accurate and compliant.

Use Razorpay X for vendor payouts and TDS deductions while providing oversight and improving automation.

4) Reconciliation & Reporting:

Ensure thorough reconciliation of all business transactions in the company datastore with financial transactions recorded through Razorpay and the bank statement.

Maintain accurate accounting of all the reimbursements availed by employees for business continuity expenses with the right invoicing and attribution.

Work with external auditors and consultants to ensure audit readiness and maintain compliance.

5) P&L Oversight:

Develop and maintain a deep understanding of P&L and Cashflow statements, ensuring accurate reporting and interpretation.

Assist in developing scalable financial systems and processes that support high growth.

6) Automation & Scalability:

Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes for efficient scaling of accounting, payroll, compliance, and reconciliation to minimise manual intervention.

Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Chartered Accountant (CA)/ Cost Management Accountant (CMA) qualification is preferred but not mandatory.

5â"“7 years of experience in accounting, financial management, or a similar role, preferably in a tech-enabled company or a startup.

Proficiency in Accounting and ability to prepare Financial Statements

Strong knowledge of Indian statutory compliance (GST, TDS, payroll regulations, etc.).

Hands-on experience with tools like Razorpay Payroll, Razorpay X, and Razorpay Payment Gateway is preferred.

Strong understanding of financial transaction reconciliation processes in a tech-enabled ecosystem.

Familiarity with centralised data warehouses and integration with financial reporting systems is a plus.

Proficient in working cross-functionally and managing multiple stakeholders, including consultants and auditors.
