Quality Manager

Role & responsibilities

1. Coordination and accountability for Product Quality and Quality Assurance Laboratory, In-Process Controls, Finished Products and Raw material
2. Responsible for the maintenance and continuous development of the Quality-Management-System implemented at the Mahad Site according to the relevant Standards/Norms
3. Ensures compliance with legal regulatory and corporate requirements within quality organization, incorporates all relevant Corporate/Business Policies and Standards into the QMS
4. Maintain all quality relevant certifications related to the Site; depending on Business Decisions prepare/develop Systems for new/other Certifications; prepare System for ISO Releases (e.g. 9001:2015)
5. Undertake cross-functional interdisciplinary coordination tasks to harmonize the value added and the support processes with regard to the quality of the final result of the organization.
6. Continuously develop the Sites Process Landscape in alignment with requirements from ISO 9001 in cooperation with Process Owners
7. Managing application and maintenance of all quality related internal local IT systems as well as maintaining data integrity of the corporate Quality systems.
8. Drive, organize and follow-up on RCAs related to Quality Incidents/Deviations, define and drive Corrective Actions to prevent Recurrence and continuously drive down Customer and Financial Impact of Quality Incidents; create an Investigation Culture for Quality Incidents similar to SHE Incidents
9. Apply quality tools like process reviews, Value Stream Mapping, Six sigma, Lean Manufacturing Techniques, Kaizen, Root Cause/ Corrective Action techniques and 5S to enhance problem solving and improvement activities and drives employee involvement
10. Effective and timely handling of customer complaints including management of customer communication in close cooperation with the Business and Business Quality Manager. Initiating and follow-up of quality complaints with the suppliers.
11. Preparation, organization, execution and follow up of internal and external audits including corrective actions and the closure thereof
12. Maintains strong teamwork with Site Operations and Supply Chain, R&D, Customer Service and Sales Organization
13. Visits Customers and Suppliers together with Sales/purchase Organization
14. Coordinate with lab chemist on the calibration and maintenance of all laboratory equipment and ensure all equipment affected quality are calibrate before use
15. Perform and advise lab employees to handle all chemicals with safe for environment and health.
16. Manage and control all chemicals used ,waste of raw material and finished goods from testing activity .
17. Train sub-ordinate on chemical knowledge and laboratory techniques and create the independent system.
18. Maintain the equipment like GC, FTNIR, Viscometer, color meter, Ovens, titration system and many other equipment in Lab.
19. Performs all related duties of the similar type on assignments .
20. Perform additional assignments given by Site head
21. RM & Packaging Vendor evaluation

Preferred candidate profile

Minimum 8-15 years in a Chemical laboratory or related field

Experience in managing and developing a QMS system according to ISO 9001, experience in ISO 16949 is a plus

Experience in conducting internal and external audits for customers and suppliers.

Good communication & listening skills
