Engineering Manager

Qualifications & Years of Experience:

Diploma / bachelors in engineering (preferably Mechanical / piping/ Civil) with minimum 15 years of experience in Engineering Consultancy, EPC and major engineering companies

Key Skills & Technical Competencies:

• Experience with Autodesk suite of design software (AutoCAD, Plant3D, Navisworks, Revit, Inventor, etc.)
• Proficiency in engineering software and tools
• Possesses knowledge of, Water, Oil and gas and Infra projects
• Knowledge of current designs, standards, Procedures, and international codes
• Excellent communication skills to present project scope to design Team and motivate the team to meet deadlines.
• Excellent in resource planning

Responsibilities:

• Manages multi-discipline design team executing conceptual design, FEED, Detailed Engineering, and project execution.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
• Providing technical insight and value engineering during development of engineering designs.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the design team
• Coordinating work with other discipline managers, task leads to ensure project success.
• Checking their teams work for technical accuracy and Quality
• Provide thorough checking of drawings and bill of materials
• Provide the guidance in development of General Arrangements and detailed drawings
• Instruct / Guide the drafters in the use of standard and acceptable drafting techniques, detailing of engineering deliverables.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Preparation and maintenance of internal design standards
• Follow internal standards, project contracts and specifications, and applicable codes and standards
• Provide support to the Project Engineer, Project Design Lead, and Product Engineer for shop and field issues
