Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead with deep expertise in HL7, FHIR, and Java to drive the development and integration of healthcare interoperability solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and implementing healthcare data exchange solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and leading a team of engineers.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of HL7 v2/v3, FHIR, and CDA-based interoperability solutions.
- Architect, implement, and optimize FHIR servers, APIs, and integration frameworks.
- Develop and enhance healthcare data exchange capabilities using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
- Drive end-to-end implementation of interoperability solutions in compliance with FHIR, HL7, and other healthcare data standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of healthcare data with EHR/EMR systems.
- Ensure system security, performance, and scalability of healthcare applications.
- Stay up-to-date with FHIR R5 advancements, HL7 updates, and industry best practices.
- Guide and mentor a team of engineers, conduct code reviews, and enforce best practices.
- Troubleshoot complex data exchange and integration issues, ensuring seamless communication between systems.
- Work with stakeholders to define technical requirements, architecture, and system design.
Technical Skills Required :
- Strong expertise in HL7 v2/v3, CDA, and FHIR (R4/R5).
- Experience in developing and integrating FHIR servers (HAPI FHIR, IBM FHIR Server, or similar).
- Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and RESTful APIs.
- Deep understanding of Microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Experience with Interoperability Engines like Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, or Infor Cloverleaf.
- Strong knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SMART on FHIR.
- Expertise in handling JSON, XML, and healthcare data mapping/transformation.
- Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.
- Experience in developing scalable and secure healthcare applications.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Knowledge of USCDI, TEFCA, and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, GDPR).
- Exposure to AI/ML in healthcare interoperability is a plus.
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
