Responsibilities :
- Lead the design, implementation, and migration of Active Directory environments, including domain consolidation, forest restructuring, and upgrade projects.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation for all AD-related configurations and processes.
- Perform day-to-day administration of Active Directory, including user and group management, security group administration, Group Policy management, and schema maintenance.
- Monitor system health and performance, and proactively address potential issues.
- Diagnose and resolve complex Active Directory issues, including replication problems, authentication failures, and performance bottlenecks.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement effective solutions to prevent recurring issues.
- Implement and maintain security best practices for Active Directory, including access control, password policies, auditing, and security hardening.
- Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations (NIST, ISO 27001).
- Develop, implement, and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to enforce security policies, configure desktop settings, and deploy software.
- Troubleshoot GPO-related issues and ensure consistent application of policies.
- Administer and maintain DNS and DHCP services integrated with Active Directory.
- Ensure proper name resolution and IP address allocation for all network devices.
- Utilize scripting languages (PowerShell) to automate routine tasks, such as user provisioning, account maintenance, and reporting.
- Develop and maintain scripts for monitoring and managing Active Directory.
- Work closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of Active Directory with other systems.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Monitor Active Directory performance and identify potential bottlenecks.
- Develop and implement capacity plans to ensure the environment can scale to meet future demands.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all Active Directory configurations and procedures.
- Share knowledge and best practices with other team members.
Required Skills and Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in managing and administering Active Directory environments.
- Deep understanding of Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Kerberos authentication.
- Extensive experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and management of Active Directory.
- Strong knowledge of security best practices for Active Directory, including access control, auditing, and security hardening.
- Experience with Active Directory migration and upgrade projects.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting complex Active Directory issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with monitoring and performance tuning of Active Directory environments.
