Senior Software Engineer

Role Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Node.js and MySQL, and experience with Angular is a plus. The candidate will play a key role in developing high-performance web applications and contributing to the technical direction of our software development team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop robust and scalable web applications using Node.js and MySQL/MongoDB, with exposure to Angular for front-end development.
• Contribute to backend development efforts, ensuring efficient database design, server-side scripting with Node.js, and API integration.
• Assist in front-end development using Angular, focusing on responsive design and user experience optimization.
• Implement MySQL database management and optimisation techniques.
• Adhere to code quality standards and software engineering best practices, including unit testing, code reviews, and CI/CD processes.
• Collaborate with team members to analyze system requirements and deliver tasks within specified technical specifications and timelines.
• Troubleshoot application issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, proposing the adoption of new technologies when appropriate.
• Participate in technical discussions and knowledge sharing sessions with the team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 2-4 Years of hands-on experience in software development with a focus on Node.js and MySQL/MongoDB. Experience with front-end technologies like Angular/React and MongoDB for databases is a plus.
• Strong understanding of developing scalable and distributed web applications.
• Familiarity with RESTful API design.
• Proficiency in database design, optimisation, and management using MySQL.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and AJAX.
• Experience with modern development tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Docker).
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
