Hardware Design Engineer

Basic Qualifications

• Master of Science in Electrical, Electronic, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent program
• Experience in electronic hardware development.
• Strong teamwork, and excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to work independently.
• Extensive hands-on experience with lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, electronic loads, signal generators.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experienced in industrial or automotive (preferred) area (TIER1...)
• Solid understanding with embedded electronics design constraints
• Familiar with system/component design, EE architecture topologies and safety
• Knowledge of applicable safety standards including ISO 26262, Euro NAP, and other regulations,
• industry benchmarks and customer requirements
• Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) Belt certification.
• Solid understanding of system/component design
• Familiar with vehicle bus: ETH/CAN FD/LIN/LVDS communication protocols and troubleshooting tools.
• Justified experience in EMI/EMC design, test and troubleshooting.
• Justified experience in thermal management for ECU embedded electronics.
• Being able to support/handle more than one expertise domain as a plus Critical Character Traits to Ensure Success
• Ability to think outside-the-box in high pressure situations and to multi-task.
• Detail oriented problem-solver and Self-confident/empowered to deliver on a daily basis.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently given minimal supervision/direction.
• Ability to identify potential developmental roadblocks and escalate to management.
• Ability to work in a team environment and be both a team player and task leader.
• This includes requesting assistance from and likewise providing assistance to team members regardless of the topic is related to your assigned work set.
• Respect and understanding of the Customer/Supplier relationship while embracing partnership.
• Ability to present concepts/strategies/project status to large groups.
