AKSO Application Architect - (Solution Architecture)

Job Purpose:

• ■ Responsible for defining the overall architecture of the application, as well as working with product/delivery leads to ensure that the application is built to specification.
• ■ Provides guidance on functional and technical solution architecture, design, customization, configuration, coding, and integration best practices, policies, security,
• procedures, standards, and metrics.
• ■ Ensure adherence to EA principles, information security and overall IT strategy and follow-up in implementation.

Role specific responsibilities-

• ■ Design and implement scalable, high-quality software applications.
• ■ Design and creation of common application architectures/blueprints.
• ■ Design - Works with software engineers, Product leads, Portfolio Owners, Application Delivery Managers and other architects to define and refine the product structure to
• align with the business, development, deployment, and maintenance needs.
• ■ Define the application architecture strategy to align with business goals and digital technology strategy.
• ■ Collaborate with stakeholders, to ensure business objectives are understood and translated accordingly into goals, technical specifications (considering security,
• performance, scalability, maintainability & usability)Define/Maintain - Cloud, Services and DevOps application design, development and deployment guidelines and
• standards.
• ■ Establish a common UI & UX design system to be applied to software projects which complies with our company global brand & style guidelines.
• ■ Collaboration with Platform Architecture to ensure Platform/EA principals and standards are followed.
• ■ Provide technical leadership and guidance to application/product teams.
• ■ Review and improve existing applications for performance, scalability and security.
• ■ Ensure approved security measures are included in designs & implemented throughout solutions
• ■ Conduct code reviews and ensure the quality of the codebase.
• ■ Assist in troubleshooting and resolving application issues.
• ■ Develop technical prototypes and code as required.
• ■ Code reviews and guide architectural decisions to ensure compliance with established EA standards.
• ■ Develop and maintain standards and documentation in line with best practice. Create & maintain application design documentation templates to be used throughout
• application organization.
• ■ Provide thought leadership to effectively navigate the ever-evolving technology landscape. Stay aligned with latest trends within application discipline.

Experiences Required:

• ■ Total IT experience of at least 18-20 years, with 10+ years in technical lead roles.
• ■ Minimum 10-12 years of progressive experience in software engineering lead roles.
• ■ Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Sc.
• ■ Recognized industry certifications.
• ■ Demonstrated experience ensuring the use of good OO design practices within web applications.
• ■ Good knowledge of .NET framework using C#, MVC, Asp.Net, JavaScript, AngularJS, Bootstrap, Windows Services, WCF, Web API.
• ■ Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies/architecture and current computing trends.
• ■ Familiarity with algorithmic complexity analysis and profiling/optimization.
• ■ Expert knowledge of generally accepted software development lifecycle processes.
• ■ Experience with multiple programming languages and frameworks. Exposure to EA frameworks .
• ■ Strong understanding of software design principles and patterns.
• ■ Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
• ■ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
