Job Description:
- The Finance & Accounts Lead will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations, compliance, and team management.
- This is a hands-on role, requiring strong leadership skills to guide a team of 5-6 professionals while actively managing key financial processes.
- The role demands expertise in Tally Prime and MS Excel for day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Management:
- Lead and manage a team of 5-6 finance professionals.
- Delegate tasks effectively, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Mentor team members and drive a collaborative and productive work environment.
Financial Operations and Compliance:
- Manage daily finance and accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Oversee GST, TDS, EPF, ESIC, and other statutory filings and compliances.
- Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and reconciliation reports.
Payroll and Expense Management:
- Oversee payroll processing, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements (EPF, ESIC, PT, LWF).
- Monitor team performance for payroll accuracy and timeliness.
- Review and manage employee expenses and reimbursements.
Vendor and Client Management:
- Manage vendor payments, client collections, and account reconciliations.
- Address escalated queries from vendors, clients, and employees effectively.
- Handle foreign vendor remittances and ensure basic ODI/FDI compliance.
Budgeting and Cash Flow Management:
- Assist in preparing annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and fund management to ensure liquidity.
- Provide data-driven insights to leadership for decision-making.
Insurance and Compliance:
- Oversee renewals of insurance policies and claims management.
- Maintain strong internal controls to ensure audit readiness and compliance.
Qualifications and Skills:
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent qualification with 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- Proven ability to manage a team of 5-6 professionals.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Tally Prime and MS Excel (including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and financial modeling).
- Strong understanding of statutory compliances, including GST, TDS, EPF, ESIC, LWF, and payroll management.
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
