AOSP Developer - Embedded System (5-7 yrs)

Summary :

We are looking for an experienced AOSP Developer with 5-7 years of expertise in customizing Android OS, system-level programming, HAL development, and integrating hardware-software solutions. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver advanced embedded solutions for consumer and enterprise devices.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Android OS Development : Customize and optimize Android OS for custom hardware, framework, middleware, and system services.

2. HAL Development : Create and integrate custom HAL modules for hardware interfaces.

3. Kernel and Drivers : Customize Linux kernel and integrate/debug device drivers with hardware vendors.

4. Debugging & Optimization : Resolve system-level issues, crashes, memory leaks, and performance bottlenecks.

5. Security & Compliance : Apply security patches, ensure CDD compliance, and CTS/VTS validation.

6. Collaboration : Work with hardware teams on platform bring-up and UX teams for user experiences.

7. Documentation : Document system design, APIs, and provide long-term Android build support.

Required Skills :

1. Technical :

- Expertise in AOSP architecture, Android build processes, and system services.

- Proficient in C, C++, Java; experience with bootloader, recovery, and OTA updates.

- Debugging and profiling using adb, logcat, GDB, and performance tools.

- BSP development, hardware bring-up, and familiarity with protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, USB).

2. Testing & Compliance : Knowledge of CTS, VTS, security enhancements, and SELinux.

3. Soft Skills : Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with Android TV, Automotive, Wearable platforms, RTOS, or embedded systems.

- Knowledge of Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.

- Experience with global teams and open-source contributions.

Education : Bachelors/Master's in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field.
