Design & Detailing Engineer

Role & responsibilities

The Design & Detailing Engineer will be responsible for creating and detailing structural designs for steel structures used in prefabricated shelters. This role requires proficiency in AutoCAD, Tekla, and 3D design software, with a strong ability to work independently and produce high-quality designs in accordance with various design codes.

LOCATION - SAMPLA FACTORY NEAR BAHADURGARH HARYANA

Key Responsibilities:

• Structural Design & Detailing:
  
• Develop and detail steel structure designs for prefabricated shelters using AutoCAD, Tekla, and other 3D design software.
• Ensure all designs adhere to relevant design codes and industry standards.
• Drafting & Modeling:
  
• Create accurate and detailed drafts and 3D models of steel structures.
• Utilize advanced drafting techniques and tools to produce clear and comprehensive design documents.
• Preparation of Production Drawings:
  
• Prepare Good for Production (GFP) drawings that are detailed and ready for manufacturing.
• Ensure that all production drawings are accurate and complete, with all necessary dimensions, notes, and specifications.
• Bill of Quantities (BOQ):
  
• Develop and prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for materials and components required for production.
• Ensure BOQs are precise and reflective of the design specifications.
• Independent Work:
  
• Work independently on design projects, managing time effectively and meeting deadlines.
• Collaborate with other engineering and production teams as needed to ensure alignment between design and manufacturing.
• Quality Assurance:
  
• Review and verify designs for accuracy, feasibility, and compliance with design codes and standards.
• Address and resolve any design-related issues or discrepancies that arise during the production process.

Key Requirements:

• Masters degree in Structural Design or a related field (M.Tech Structural Design).
• 5-6 years of experience in structural design and detailing, preferably in the prefab construction industry.
• Proficiency in design and drafting software, including AutoCAD, Tekla, and 3D modeling tools.
• Strong ability to produce accurate and detailed production drawings and BOQs.
• Excellent drafting, modeling, and design skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of various design codes and industry standards relevant to steel structures.
