Import & Export Executive

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Import & Export Executive to manage and oversee international trade operations. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in import/export documentation, customs compliance, logistics coordination, and vendor management.

Key Responsibilities:

Shipment Coordination & Execution:

• Plan and oversee import and export shipments (Sea, Air, and Land).
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping lines for smooth operations.
• Ensure timely delivery of shipments while optimizing cost and transit time.

Documentation & Compliance:

• Prepare and verify all shipping documents (Invoice, Packing List, BL/AWB, COO, LC documents, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with DGFT, Customs, RBI, and EXIM policies.
• Handle Switch B/L, Letter of Credit (LC), Duty Drawback, and Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) operations.

Customs & Regulatory Compliance:

• Manage custom clearance procedures and liaise with customs agents.
• Ensure adherence to import/export regulations and HS codes classification.
• Handle government portals for port registration, duty payment, and license applications.

Vendor & Client Coordination:

• Communicate with suppliers, clients, and internal teams for order tracking.
• Develop and maintain relationships with logistics service providers.
• Negotiate freight rates and service contracts with shipping lines and transporters.

Reporting & MIS:

• Maintain shipment tracking reports, cost analysis, and duty structures.
• Provide regular updates on shipments to all stakeholders.
• Monitor and analyze supply chain efficiency and suggest process improvements.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of INCOTERMS, HS Codes, Customs Tariffs, and Foreign Trade Policies.
Experience with Port, Customs, and Government EXIM Portals.
Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and logistics management tools.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication & coordination skills to manage multiple stakeholders.

Preferred Candidate:

• Resident of Gurgaon or willing to relocate.
  Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or trading companies preferred.
  Knowledge of banking procedures related to international trade (LC, Remittances, T/T, etc.) is an advantage.
