Senior Team Lead - Project & Delivery - Data Annotations (4-5 yrs)

Job Title: Sr. Team Lead - Project & Delivery (Data Labeling)

Department: Operations

Location: Chennai

Reports To: Operations Manager/Business Head

Key Responsibilities:

1. Client Management:

- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing queries and providing updates.

- Understand client requirements, set clear expectations, and ensure alignment with project deliverables.

- Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.

- Visit client place and attend client meetings to strengthen the relationship, new opportunities and new connections.

Project Management:

- Plan, execute, and monitor multiple data labeling projects to ensure on-time delivery.

- Define project scope, objectives, and timelines while managing risks and dependencies.

- Track project milestones, deadlines, and deliverables using project management tools.

Team Leadership:

- Lead and mentor a team of data labeling specialists, quality analysts, and supervisors.

- Allocate resources effectively to meet project requirements and deadlines.

- Drive team performance, identify training needs, and foster a positive work environment.

Delivery Excellence:

- Ensure adherence to quality standards, accuracy benchmarks, and SLAs for data labeling projects.

- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce turnaround times.

- Develop and maintain metrics to evaluate project performance and team productivity.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

- Collaborate with other departments such as Sales, Product, and IT to ensure smooth project execution.

- Work closely with ML engineers and technical teams to understand specific data labeling needs.

Reporting and Documentation:

- Prepare and present detailed project reports, including progress updates, risks, and resolutions.

- Maintain comprehensive project documentation for internal and client reference.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Experience: 5-8 years in project/delivery management, preferably in data labeling, AI/ML domain.

- Client Handling: Proven experience of client communication, client management, requirement gathering, escalation handling, conflict resolution, client onboarding etc from onsite or offshore.

- Project Management: Proficient in Agile, Scrum, or other project management methodologies.

- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders at all levels.

- Technical Skills: Understanding of data labeling tools, annotation platforms, and AI/ML workflows.

- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage teams, with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.

- Master's degree is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Familiarity with machine learning pipelines and model training requirements.

- Experience in managing remote or distributed teams.

- Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2) or Agile methodologies.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

- On-time project delivery percentage.

- Client satisfaction scores (e.g., CSAT, NPS).

- Accuracy and quality benchmarks met across projects.

- Resource utilization and team productivity metrics.

- Number of process improvements or innovations implemented.
