Job Title: Assistant Manager - Production

Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning & Execution:
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.
- Oversee daily production activities and ensure adherence to timelines.
- Monitor and optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with quality standards at every stage of production.
- Collaborate with the Quality team to address product non-conformance issues and implement corrective actions.
- Promote and maintain high-quality standards in line with company and industry guidelines.
Team Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of production supervisors and operators.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review performance and address challenges.
- Facilitate training sessions to upgrade the skillset of the production workforce.
Process Optimization:
- Identify areas of improvement in production methods, equipment, and resource utilization.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma practices to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives without compromising on quality or safety.
Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across production lines.
- Conduct periodic safety audits and training programs for employees.
- Implement and monitor workplace safety standards to mitigate risks.
Coordination with Other Departments:
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain and Procurement teams to ensure material availability.
- Work closely with the Maintenance team to address equipment issues and plan preventive maintenance.
- Liaise with the R&D team for new product introduction and process validation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering or related field.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of experience in a similar role within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
- Hands-on experience in production planning, team management, and process optimization.
Technical Expertise:
- Proficient in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Knowledge of modern production tools and ERP systems.
- Familiarity with automotive industry standards and compliance requirements.
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
