Engineering Animator

Job Description

I-Hub for Robotics and Autonomous Systems Innovation Foundation (ARTPARK) is looking for an engineering animator who can illustrate robotic elements (motors, controllers, gear drives, grippers) and systems (robotic arms, ground vehicles, drones, industry applications) with effective and accurate 3D modelling, animation, texturing, rigging, editing, compositing, preferably using Blender (https://www.blender.org/ ), After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator.

Responsibilities

1. Convert requirements from the team into a video/animation script

2. 3D modelling/rendering of in-house components - source CAD files will be provided

3. Animation - adding motion to the modelled components as per requirement.

4. Texturing - material appropriately to the animated objects

5. Rigging - into the scene as per requirement, e.g. robotic arms in a factory, ground vehicle in a warehouse, etc.

6. Compositing - The animated 3D renders are to be composited using After Effects with sound design and give an attractive and engaging final output.

7. Graphic Design - Need to design posters for various purposes and events using Photoshop and Illustrator when needed.

Requirements

1. Qualifications - A bachelors degree in engineering or design
2. Minimum 2 years experience with engineering animations
3. Portfolio - with any past videos demonstrating work involving motors, gears,robotics, graphic design and animated motion graphics videos.
