Data Curation Associate

Roles & Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the data from one or more of the following states:
Arunachal Pradesh
Assam
Manipur
Meghalaya
Mizoram
Nagaland
Sikkim
Tripura

Key tasks include:
Understanding requirements for data curation and its implications on the AI models built.
Recruiting curation experts through searching and contacts (e.g., NGOs, local institutes, etc.) in the
districts/areas under your management.
Designing task flyers and finding ways to reach individuals and language experts interested in data curation and quality checking.
Contacting applicants and hosting project awareness calls with potential experts.
Managing day-to-day curation operations for audio and transcription data.
Training recruited experts and providing relevant documentation.
Assigning daily workloads based on availability and closely coordinating to ensure task completion.
Supervising daily performance and reviewing work.

Skills and Background
Native speaker of one or more local languages in the specified districts.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and the local language.
Proficient in handling multiple remote workers and ensuring task completion.
Skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).

Good-to-Haves
Experience in data curation.
Experience in speech data annotation and labeling.
Experience with data sourcing and annotation companies.
