Sr. Engineer, DevOps

As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will utilize your extensive Cloud/ DevOps knowledge and experience to design, develop and deploy solutions utilizing the Cloud/DevOps platforms. You will work with customer service owners, process owners and various service delivery groups and participate in demos and meetings in a professional and courteous manner. The Senior Cloud Engineer is a highly experienced subject matter expert on the Cloud/ DevOps platforms with strong experience designing, developing and deploying integrations with external third-party tools.

Role & responsibilities :

• Provide technical leadership to junior staff in the form of coaching, mentoring, and feedback.
• Supporting customers on core technologies used for Managed Services offerings including but not limited to: Cloud, Automation, Terraform, CI / CD.
• Assist with team building through interviewing, on-boarding, and aligning of technical resources.
• Maintaining a strong security focus and approach in all aspects of delivery. 
• Leading the creation of documentation and written deliverables    
• Act as technical expert in both internal knowledge sharing as well as client engagements.
• Influence direct team members and external customers regarding policies, best practices, and procedures
• Obtain and maintain certifications with associated qualifications

Preferred candidate profile :

• Subject matter expert on Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Expert level development skills in DevOps technologies and tooling (Infrastructure as Code, Automation, CI / CD, Containers / Kubernetes).
• Strong knowledge of Cloud Cost Management processes and methodologies (Harness experience a plus)
• Strong leadership skills (coaching, mentoring, technical leadership).
• Strong communication and presentation skills  
• Strong project and situational awareness  
• Strong attention to detail  
• Demonstrate deep expertise on a variety of technologies used within Managed Services offerings.
• Balancing client billing responsibilities with leadership priorities.
• Strive for continuous improvement through updates to processes, practices, and documentation.  
• Ability to adapt to evolving customer requirements and changes in team workloads.
• Depth of knowledge and experience enables contribution in a more complex/critical environment
• Provide measurable input into new products, processes, standards, and / or plans
• Communicate with external customers, which may include senior management, on matters that require explanation, interpretation, and / or advising
• Drive scoping, planning, and methodology for critical projects
