Safety Manager

As a Safety Manager at Agnikul Cosmos, you will be responsible for establishing and overseeing safety systems and practices for construction, propulsion testing, and flight testing activities. You will lead a team of safety engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.

• Develop & Implement Safety Systems: Lead the next phase of safety systems at Agnikul Cosmos, ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
• Engineering Safety Oversight: Guide and review firefighting system design and implementation for rocket engine test rigs.
• Safety Audits & Inspections: Conduct electrical safety audits, process safety reviews, and ensure compliance with semi-cryogenic plumbing system safety standards for engine firings.
• HAZID & HAZOP Reviews: Lead hazard identification (HAZID) and hazard and operability studies (HAZOP) for all flight test construction and testing activities.
• Incident Investigation & Prevention: Investigate accidents and incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive measures.
• Safety Training & Culture: Provide safety training, education, and awareness programs to employees to promote a strong safety-first culture.
• Regulatory & Stakeholder Liaison: Work with regulatory bodies and officials at SDSC SHAR for safety compliance at the launchpad.

• Degree in Engineering Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Electronics. (ME/BE in Industrial Safety or Fire Safety is a plus.)
• Minimum 6 years of experience in MEP/Chemical/Process Industry, Construction, or Aerospace (Aerospace experience is an added advantage).

• Occupational Health & Safety Certifications (e.g., NEBOSH IGC/IDIP, ASP, CSP preferred).
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, local codes, and industry standards.
• Experience in safety management, risk assessments, and compliance monitoring.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced aerospace environment.
