AGM MEP Design

Job Role - Review the Consultants/Vendor Drawings vs. benchmarking and policies. Review the tender packages vs. Project Budget. Assist Project Team in validating and raising the NCRs. Assist Site Team in technical issues related to design.

Role & responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders viz Architects, Consultants, Structure in providing optimized design to prepare the concept, SD, DD, Builder's Work, Tender, VFC releases within the DDS timelines and scope as per area of operation (HO and Project)
• Review quality of Consultant's entire delivery and ensure compliance to benchmarking, policies, liaison approvals and relevant codes and standards. Resolve Consultant's performance related delays.
• Preparation of Specification, Datasheet, Purchase requisition, Bid Evaluation, Technical recommendation for Equipment and Works
• Work planning and Scheduling with clients & subcontractors and monitoring day-to-day progress
• Manage in-house design efforts where Consultants are not on board or not applicable on purpose
• Coordinate with DCO for budget preparation at concept and DD stage; constantly review VE options & share practical cost effective alternatives that meet the project criteria.
• Preparation of all authority submissions, while Ensuring the correctness and completeness of design before delivery of all such packages.
• Review and resolve tender package vs. project budget for subsequent attachment of BOQ and tender in SAP
• Attend prebid technical discussions with the contractors, procurement and CM team to resolve technical issues of the Contractors.
• Attend POCs for vendor based designs for the custom, specialist items.
• Review the construction documents (shop drawings, material submittals, GA drawings, etc.) of the contractors within policy timelines as per area of operation (HO or Project)
• Attend coordination meetings at HO and sites as required
• Support the Project teams in resolving technical issues related to design or drawings arising during site coordination and execution (in terms of RFIs and site meetings)
• Visit vendor facilities for the factory acceptance tests as per project requirements

Preferred candidate profile

Design experience with BE/B.Tech with min. 10-15 years of experience in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
