Duck Creek Policy Developer

Location: Hyderabad/ Bhubaneswar. Job Type: [Full-Time/Permanent]. Experience: 3-6 years.



Job Description. We are seeking Duck Creek Policy Developer to develop and modify applications

Configure and develop within several areas of Duck Creek Policy

Collaborate with system architects, vendors, and business partners

Work effectively with multiple assignments and teams to meet completion dates

Train and mentor other staff members

Analyse existing program logic to determine best method of accomplishing required changes

Maintain and modify programs currently in production to keep them responsive to user

Manage error handling and code exceptions

Design program logic to meet specifications and to adhere to development and architecture standards

Prepare test data and thoroughly test code leveraging automated unit test framework

Analyse production programs to isolate problems

Document and maintain program specifications according to company standards

Develop administrative reports as needed

Mentor and coach associates within team and across multiple disciplines

Skill Set. Duck Creek Policy experience is a must

Personal or Commercial Lines Property & Casualty insurance experience

Integration with External Systems and Duck Creek Platform-supported integration techniques

Experience in configuring and developing Policy or Policy transactions/job configuration

Experience implementing multiple LOBS, Quoting, Rating Management, Forms Management

Preferred Certifications/Knowledge. DuckCreek certification(s) such as DuckCreek Policy Admin, DuckCreek Author, or DuckCreek Billing

Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies

Knowledge of relational databases and SQL

Familiarity with JavaScript, CSS, and HTML for front-end customization



Qualifications. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Proven experience in DuckCreek Policy development, customization, and implementation

Proficiency in DuckCreek Author, DuckCreek Policy Administration, and other related DuckCreek tools and modules

Strong understanding of insurance domain concepts and processes

Experience with integration technologies such as XML, web services, and APIs

Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and best practices

Excellent problem-solving

Skills and attention to detail

Strong communication and interpersonal

Skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients
