Workshop Engineer-HEMM-Nigeria

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Workshop Engineer HEMM to oversee the maintenance, repair, and operations of Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM) for our mining division in Nigeria. The ideal candidate will ensure equipment reliability, manage workshop operations, and lead a team of technical professionals to maximize equipment uptime and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee maintenance and repairs of HEMM equipment, including excavators, dumpers, dozers, loaders, graders, and drills.
• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans to ensure maximum equipment availability.
• Monitor and optimize workshop operations, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in HEMM.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, spare parts inventory, and repair schedules.
• Ensure compliance with industry safety regulations and company policies.
• Manage a team of technicians, mechanics, and engineers, providing guidance and training as needed.
• Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure the availability of spare parts and tools.
• Report key performance indicators (KPIs) and maintenance cost control measures to management.
