Job Opportunity For Weblogic Admin

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation and Configuration:

• Install and configure Oracle WebLogic Server environments, including clustering and high-availability setups.
• Deploy and configure web and enterprise applications on WebLogic servers.
• Set up and manage Node Managers for seamless server operations.

2. Administration and Maintenance:

• Manage WebLogic server domains, instances, and configurations.
• Monitor system performance and ensure server stability and uptime.
• Apply patches, updates, and upgrades to WebLogic and related components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve WebLogic server and application issues.

3. Security Management:

• Implement WebLogic security policies, including user authentication, authorization, and role-based access.
• Configure SSL/TLS certificates for secure communication.
• Monitor and respond to security vulnerabilities and incidents.

4. Performance Optimization:

• Analyze server performance and make necessary adjustments to improve application responsiveness.
• Fine-tune JVM (Java Virtual Machine) parameters for optimal performance.
• Implement caching strategies and load balancing for efficient resource utilization.

5. Automation and Scripting:

• Develop and maintain scripts (using WLST, Shell, Python, etc.) to automate WebLogic administrative tasks.
• Automate deployment processes to reduce downtime and ensure consistency.

6. Backup and Recovery:

• Implement backup and recovery procedures for WebLogic domains and configurations.
• Develop disaster recovery strategies to ensure minimal impact on business operations.

7. Collaboration and Support:

• Work closely with developers and DevOps teams to support application deployment and troubleshooting.
• Provide technical support and expertise during application development cycles.
• Collaborate with other IT teams for seamless integration with databases, networks, and other middleware.

8. Documentation:

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of WebLogic configurations, procedures, and policies.
• Document troubleshooting steps and solutions for common issues.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience:

• years of experience as a WebLogic Administrator or in a similar role.
• Experience with Oracle WebLogic 11g/12c or newer versions.
• Familiarity with Java EE application deployment and troubleshooting.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Oracle WebLogic Server architecture and administration.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (WLST, Shell, Python).
• Hands-on experience with JVM tuning, clustering, and load balancing.
• Understanding of relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL) and database connectivity (JDBC).
• Knowledge of application server security practices, including SSL/TLS configuration.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK, Oracle Enterprise Manager).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins is a plus.
