A Field Server Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of server hardware, operating systems, and associated infrastructure at various client or company locations. This role requires on-site support, travel to different locations, and collaboration with IT teams to ensure smooth server operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation & Configuration:
   
• Deploy, install, and configure server hardware, software, and network components.
• Set up operating systems (Windows Server/Linux) and ensure proper connectivity.
2. Maintenance & Support:
   
• Perform routine server health checks, firmware updates, and patches.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on servers.
• Replace defective components and coordinate RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) if needed.
3. On-Site Troubleshooting & Repairs:
   
• Respond to on-site incidents and resolve server-related issues.
• Diagnose and fix performance, connectivity, and security problems.
4. Data Backup & Recovery:
   
• Ensure proper server backups and test recovery procedures.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
5. Security & Compliance:
   
• Implement security measures, including access controls and antivirus solutions.
• Ensure servers comply with company policies and industry standards.
6. Documentation & Reporting:
   
• Maintain records of server configurations, maintenance activities, and incident resolutions.
• Provide detailed reports on server performance and issues.
