Senior Civil Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our team and oversee the planning, execution, and management of building construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, project management, and construction supervision, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Senior Civil Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the successful completion of projects while adhering to safety, quality, and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Execution

• Develop and manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Prepare, monitor, and update project schedules to ensure timely completion.
• Ensure project scope and objectives are clearly defined and achieved.
• Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

2. Design Coordination

• Collaborate with the Design Department and Project Manager to ensure project designs are feasible and meet requirements.
• Review and approve design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the design and construction teams.

3. Quality Control

• Ensure all project activities comply with quality control and quality assurance standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and tests to verify compliance with specifications and codes.
• Identify and resolve quality issues promptly and implement corrective and preventive actions.

4. Documentation & Reporting

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, and specifications.
• Compile and submit detailed reports on project progress, budget utilization, and resource allocation.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all project-related information.

5. Resource Management

• Assist in the procurement and management of project resources, including materials, equipment, and labor.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of resources.
• Monitor resource utilization and address any potential shortages or bottlenecks.

6. Coordination and Communication

• Coordinate meetings, progress reviews, and project updates with stakeholders.
• Resolve conflicts and address issues arising during construction activities.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, contractors, and team members.

7. Continuous Improvement

• Evaluate project performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Implement best practices and lessons learned from previous projects.
• Encourage innovation and efficiency enhancements within the project team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in building construction and project management.
• Strong knowledge of construction codes, standards, and regulations in India.
• Proficiency in project management software MS Project, and CAD tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
