Cost and Estimation Engineer

Responsibility: This role coordinates, directs and leads estimating efforts to ensure optimum costing and coordination of projects and programs to ensure AESSEAL India meets customer expectations and manufacturing requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of the Machine Hour Rate (MHR) calculations & machining practices.
• Prepare cost data & costing for the products.
• Determine the costs of machined parts, rubber parts, castings, and press parts.
• Works with team and others to coordinate production, purchase meet deadlines and customer requirements.
• Analyse and suggest the changes in operations, routings etc for cost effectiveness.
• Establish quote priorities based on evaluation to deliver on time quotation to customer.
• Develop and implement requirements for cost recording, reporting, and analysing standards, programs, and reports.
• Provide financial reporting, trending data. Perform data analysis and development.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in engineering; Mechanical, Industrial, or other related engineering field.
• Minimum of 4- 9 years experience in Cost Engineering, Cost Estimating, planning, scheduling, estimating and other areas of project controls in a manufacturing environment.
• Advance level of proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office programs
• Knowledge and experience in SAP system.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical seals will be an added advantage.
• Functional knowledge of accounting, financial accounting
• Operating knowledge and experience of Solid Edge, design software and engineering tools.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with co‐workers, outside agencies, business partners, and consultants.
