Key Responsibilities:
Market & Industry Research:
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
- Analyze industry data, competitor performance, and market dynamics to provide insights on business positioning.
- Track and report on market developments, emerging technologies, and changing customer behaviors.
Data Collection & Analysis:
- Collect, organize, and analyze both qualitative and quantitative data from a variety of sources including market reports, surveys, and financial data.
- Use data visualization tools to present complex data in an easily digestible format for senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess current strategies and inform future business decisions.
Strategic Insight & Recommendations:
- Provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations based on research findings to support business planning and decision-making.
- Contribute to the development of short-term and long-term strategies by identifying growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Assist in the development of business cases for new initiatives, products, or market expansions.
Competitor & Benchmarking Analysis:
- Perform competitor analysis and benchmark the company's performance against industry standards.
- Identify competitors' strengths and weaknesses and recommend strategies for gaining a competitive advantage.
- Stay up-to-date with competitor offerings, pricing models, and go-to-market strategies.
Strategic Reports & Presentations:
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing research findings, key trends, and strategic recommendations for management teams.
- Present insights to senior management and other key stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Provide ongoing updates and reports on research activities and their implications for business strategy.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with departments such as marketing, sales, product development, and finance to align research efforts with business goals.
- Provide strategic support to product, sales, and marketing teams by delivering market insights and analysis.
- Work with leadership to identify research priorities and ensure alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
Scenario Planning & Forecasting:
- Assist in developing forecasting models to predict future market trends, sales opportunities, and potential business outcomes.
- Support scenario planning by evaluating different business strategies and their potential outcomes based on research data.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay informed about new research methodologies, market trends, and tools that can enhance strategic research efforts.
- Continuously refine and improve research processes and tools to ensure high-quality and timely insights.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Market Research, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
- 4-5 years of experience in strategic research, market analysis, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, R, Python, Tableau).
- Proven ability to synthesize complex data and communicate insights clearly and effectively.
- Experience with market research techniques, including surveys, focus groups, and competitive analysis.
- Knowledge of industry trends and best practices related to strategic research
