Job Description:
Strategic Leadership & Oversight:
Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Media Insights and ECR teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
Collaborate with senior leadership to identify opportunities for enhancing reporting processes and developing new insights that add business value.
Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to key stakeholders, influencing decision-making with high-quality financial insights and analysis.
Operational Excellence & Reporting:
Oversee the preparation and delivery of periodic (monthly/quarterly/annual) Media Income performance dashboards, Agyle reporting, executive presentations, and new reporting requirements.
Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all internal reporting, including Actuals, Budgeting, and Forecasting, while balancing speed, efficiency, and quality.
Summarise the financial trends across businesses, geographies, brands and capabilities into Dentsu level senior leadership & executive summaries.
Lead the development of financial insights and market performance reviews to inform senior stakeholders about media income and trends and key KPIs (GMI, NMI, ARR).
Ownership of the annual External Client Reporting calendar, ensuring it is fully up to date, and liaising with the Global Client Commercial team, ensuring that reporting committed to as part of any new contract is practical and consistent with our way of operating.
Final review of reports produced by the External Client Reporting team, ensuring that reports are error-free before they are sent to clients.
The trend being reflected in reports from period to period (or forecast to actual) should be understood with the ability to articulate effectively to external clients.
Gain insight from the commercial team about common client focus areas and then ensure that any unusual or sensitive points are confirmed with the markets and understood.
Act as Point of escalation in the event the External Client Reporting fail to get timely delivery of information from markets to complete reports and as a primary contact point for clients in delivering the AVB, FTE and Unbilled media reports. Alignment with the relevant clients Global Commercial Director prior to sending is important to ensure expectations are managed.
Team Management & Development:
Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, ensuring continuous learning, skill development, and high team engagement.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation within the team.
Set clear objectives, track progress, and conduct regular performance reviews to ensure team members meet organizational goals.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Global Clients, Global Commercial Directors and Amplifi teams, Brand teams, GMPs, and Commercial leads.
Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements, manage expectations, and address concerns proactively.
Process Improvement & Governance:
Identify and lead initiatives to enhance reporting processes, systems, and controls, embedding best practices across the business.
Maintain a robust FP&A control environment that adheres to Dentsu Group policies.
Proactively identify risks and opportunities, ensuring timely escalation and action planning.
Project Management:
Lead cross-functional projects independently, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and timely delivery.
Manage ad hoc requests related to Media Performance Reporting, P&L insights, and strategic financial analysis.
Professional Skills and Capabilities
Qualified Accountant (Chartered Accountant) with 7-9 years of experience or MBA/Finance Graduates with 12-14 years of experience.
Minimum 7-8 years of extensive work experience in financial reporting, analysis, and business partnering.
Experience in managing teams and delivering high-impact results.
Strong understanding of financial metrics, business structure, and data modelling.
Advanced proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI applications (basic understanding).
Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to present complex financial data in a clear, concise, and visually engaging manner.
Strong commercial acumen and understanding of business operations.
Commitment to adaptability and continuous learning.
