Job Description:
Key responsibilities:
Delivers accurate and reliable output from specific tasks during monthly, quarterly and annual reporting processes
Maintains a working relationship with other teams and stakeholders in other finance pillars. Provides technical analysis and advice to key partners appropriate to experience, and working within the team to solve complex problems
Supports control and reporting compliance including support in preparing technical accounting memos
Supports the audit process, liaising with external audit on appropriate workstreams
Supports continual improvements in quality and efficiency of financial reporting processes, in collaboration with the wider finance team
Key deliverables:
1. Month-end close and General Ledger accounting:
Ensure the smooth completion of all tasks related to month-close
Approve general ledger setups in Workday, including user access rights.
Review and approve journals related to C&B, intercompany transactions, and other financial entries in Workday
Verify that all treasury activities (such as IHB/cash pooling, FX trade transactions, hedging settlements, loans, and interest calculations) are correctly accounted for.
Work closely with finance and accounting teams to reconcile financial records.
2. C&B Calls and Coordination:
Conduct regular calls with OTC (Order to Cash), PTP (Procure to Pay), and treasury teams to address and resolve any outstanding items related to compensation and benefits (C&B).
Collaborate with these teams to ensure timely closure of open items and maintain accurate records.
3. Treasury Process Leadership:
Lead the process for posting various treasury transactions, including:
Work closely with the treasury team to ensure accurate and efficient execution of these processes.
4. FX Exposure Review and Reporting:
Support the review of foreign exchange (FX) exposure.
Provide relevant month-end reports to Dentsu, helping them make informed decisions related to currency risk management.
5. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs):
Maintain and update comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures related to C&B processes.
Ensure that all team members follow established SOPs for consistency and compliance.
6. Intercompany Invoice Settlement:
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to settle intercompany invoices accurately and promptly.
Ensure proper documentation and adherence to internal controls.
7. Ad Hoc Projects and Compliance:
Manage ad hoc requirements and projects related to financial control and compliance.
Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry best practices.
8. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with multiple teams, including:
- Regional teams
- GFRC (Global Finance and Risk Control)
- Market teams
Qualification & Skills:
CA with 7+ years of Experience.
Advanced user of Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint.
Knowledge of Workday ERP and SAP BPC will be an added advantage.
Strong communication skills, able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, across different regions and levels.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
Demonstrate high level of responsibility and commitment to the assigned activities.
Agile and flexible to changing needs and adhoc requirements.
