A Financial Analyst is responsible for providing financial insights and analysis to support decision-making within a company. This role typically involves examining financial data, forecasting future financial performance, and assisting in budgeting and strategic planning.
- Analyze financial statements and prepare reports toprovide insights into financial performance.
- Conduct variance analysis to compare actual resultswith budgeted figures.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets andperiodic forecasts.
- Collaborate with department heads to gatherbudgetary inputs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Collect, organize, and analyze financial data usingtools such as Excel and financial software.
- Prepare detailed financial reports and summaries forsenior management.
- Ensure compliance with established financial policies,procedures, and controls.
- Participatein the development and documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining internal controlsrelated to financial processes.
- Identify andreport discrepancies or deviations from established procedures.
