Application Scientist

Advent Informatics, distributor of Computational Drug Discovery and life sciences software solutions and services in India, is looking for talented and motivated candidates to join the team as an Application Scientist . As an Application Scientist , you will be focused on providing technical support and making product presentations to our pharma/biotech/academic customers showing interest in our product offerings.

Responsibilities

Online/onsite presentation (and demonstration) of our CADD/Molecular Modelling/Chemoinformatics/ Scientific Data Management software suite.
Provide technical and scientific support to our existing and prospective clients.
Publish scientific papers and participate in conferences and seminars.
Enable clients to get the best value of the software by training them.
Supporting installation and troubleshooting issues faced by clients and evaluators.
Travel (40%-50% travel) within India for meetings and if needed outside India too.
Developing KNIME/ Python Scripts workflows as per client needs.
Collaborate with academic users and run collaborative projects.
Create technical content in collaboration with Marketing.

Desired Skills & Experience:

Masters/ PhD in Computational Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or any related field with expertise in using molecular modeling software
Expertise in handling software related to in-silico Drug Discovery with 3-4 experience in Industry or published papers in academia.
Knowledge of Python programming and KNIME would be an added advantage.
Excellent communication skills, vocal and written, coupled with great time- skills.
T ravel (40%-50% travel) within India and if needed outside India too.
Should have the desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, goal-oriented high-growth environment.
A desire to publish scientific papers.
