Senior Application Developer

About You
You are an experienced application developer with a proven history of building applications from the ground up. You focus on designing scalable, maintainable solutions that address business needs while writing clean, reliable code. With 8+ years of experience in web-based development, you understand the React lifecycle, resolving issues like circular references and optimizing reactive workflows. You are skilled in Node.js architecture, managing asynchronous workflows, debugging event loop bottlenecks, and ensuring reliable backend performance. Experienced in multicultural, remote environments, you collaborate effectively across time zones, navigating diverse perspectives and maintaining clear communication. Your attention to detail ensures the delivery of high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Application Development Director and other teams to plan, architect, and implement features based on business requirements.
• Build scalable backend solutions using Node.js and MS SQL, incorporating ORMs like Sequelize.
• Develop responsive and intuitive frontend applications using React.
• Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines, ensuring automated testing and efficient deployments.
• Configure and maintain web services running on Ubuntu EC2 servers
• Integrate data solutions with Snowflake and other analytics tools as needed.
• Troubleshoot and debug application code, providing support to internal and external users.
• Mentor and guide team members, contributing to a culture of collaboration and growth.

Your Skills:

• 8+ years of experience in web-based software development.
• Expertise in Node.js, React, and MS SQL, with expertise in advanced query building techniques such as CTEs, window functions, indexing strategies, and analyzing execution plans to optimize performance and ensure efficient database design.
• Experience working with advanced data grid libraries such as AG-Grid, Kendo UI, or similar, including handling complex CRUD operations and optimizing performance for large datasets.
• Proficiency in AWS services, including EC2, S3, and Lambda.
• Strong experience with ORMs such as Sequelize.
• Familiarity with data lakes.
• Hands-on experience managing Linux servers, specifically Ubuntu.
• Knowledge of GitLab for source control and CI/CD.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment
• Experience working with Jira
