Quadient /Sr.Developer (US Shift)

JOB SUMMARY

Creates, prepares, modifies, formats data and produces print layouts based on client specifications; thus, assisting in compliance with production deadlines and requirements. Interprets production orders and instructions and selects appropriate computer programs to process orders correctly. Print layouts must be completed timely and with high quality to meet or exceed client specifications and expectations.

Responsibilities and Activities

• Create and maintain accurate and complete job files.
• Program variable elements for personalized document composition layouts using Quadient Inspire designer.
• Interpret and translate client instructions and artwork into layouts using Quadient, or Inkjet software.
• Communicate with internal and sometimes external teams and clients.
• Perform various quality inspections with speed and accuracy.
• Proofread laser signoffs to ensure accuracy prior to sending onto client for approval.
• Possess variable data knowledge and accurate knowledge of the USPS guidelines.
• High attention to Detail.
• Follows established guidelines and procedures to ensure accuracy; gets work right despite pressing deadlines; concentrates on routine work details and organizes and maintains a system of job files; plans, organizes and directs tasks in the shortest, most efficient manner.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret industry information and communicate that information in a variety of forums

• Ability to perform the following physical activities: standing, walking, talking and hearing.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and talk or hear and read. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

• Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience with Direct Mail is a plus.

• Must be proficient in the act of making, naming, and organizing files and folders in Microsoft. • Must be intermediate in the use of Microsoft Office.

• Competent in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

• Preferred coding experience in scripting languages such as SQL, C+ . Experience in variable data programming. Familiar with database management concepts.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to details.

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as client instructions, safety rules, standard operating procedures, and procedure manuals.

• Able to write routine reports and correspondence that are grammatically logical and correct.

• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
