Assistant Manager - Commercial Finance ( Diversity Profile ) Female Candidates only.
Roles and Responsibilities & Key Deliverables:
- To work closely with commercial teams to provide financial insights and guidance, ensuring financial performance aligns with business objectives.
- Position will be responsible for financial planning, analysis, reporting, and decision support for commercial functions, driving cost efficiency, revenue optimization, and profitability. This position requires the ability to influence senior stakeholders and work cross-functionally to deliver strategic business outcomes.
This position will be based at Gurugram and reporting to Commercial Controller.
Analytics & Insights:
- Development of Trade and Marketing spends dashboards bringing actionable insights for business.
- Preparing the Zonal Channel P&L for Retail, FS, KA & MT level on monthly basis - Actuals & Estimates. Preparing key insights at Territory level for the topline, GP, Mix etc.
- Bring out analytics using BI & other tool for Business decision making
- Preparing & sharing the Cash Committee inputs (Actuals & forecast) on a monthly basis for Cash Committee and place necessary controls for DSO achievement as per targets .
Business partnering with Sales & Strategy Teams.
- Managing Trade spends, Selling Media & Marketing spends for India Business
- Evaluating business spend (investment) scenarios with cost benefit analysis
- Collaborate with Channel teams for Valid expenditure request, creating and sharing IOs and ensure correct provisioning in SAP, utilization and true-ups at month end
- Preparing the MIS for monthly spends vs Budget and Last year with analysis on per kg spends/ other parameters
- Preparing and sharing the Monthly provision utilization tracker
- Collaborating with the Channel team for Estimates working, consolidation, review and clearance from leadership.
Control & Governance:
- Driving and ensuring 100% accurate cash application against customer receipts with maximum automation.
- End to End responsibility of internal Audit (processes/ transactions/ reporting)
- Accountable for Annual Statutory Audits for Commercial areas
- Review of 3P manpower cost on monthly and annual basis
- Responsible for annual IFC compliance for OTC, Freezer, T&E & 3P Payroll
Profitability and Cost Management:
- Monitor and manage costs across commercial operations to ensure financial objectives are met.
- Streamline the efficient cost recovery through product pricing for all cost elements specially freight and storage cost.
- Work with commercial teams to drive initiatives that improve profitability and operational efficiency.
Conduct margin analysis to ensure product pricing and sales strategies are aligned with financial goals.
Month end Closure & review:
- Reconciliation of balances with Affiliates as per the timelines
- Governing period end entries for 3P Salary, Incentive , T&E bookings in SAP and review controls
- Period end Bookings of TS SMM provisions and provision reversal against actual bookings of the month
- TDS and TCS posting in SAP and sharing DB level details for filing to AP team.
Product Pricing - level 2:
- Responsible for price updates in SAP as per SOP upon Business requirement.
- Review the Price variance at GS level and issue DN/CN and corrective actions to ensure zero revenue leakage.
- Collaborate with the Channel teams to prepare the revised pricing and ensuring required approvals as per SOP for price updates.
- Support and collaborate in provide relevant analysis at SKU level & competition PPG to support Business Decision.
New product development:
- Partner with project managers to ensure detailed project charter for cost, pricing and financial proposal.
- Ensure business case sign off and periodic tracker Vs actual performance
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and turn it into actionable business insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Working Knowledge of SAP is must
- Ability to influence decisions and build relationships with both financial and nonfinancial stakeholders.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
- In-depth knowledge of financial systems, reporting tools, and best practices.
- Strong Technical Skills in terms of Financial Implications, risk and Governance.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and drive projects to completion
Qualifications:
- 3- 5 years of experience finance with a strong background in commercial finance, FP&A, or financial analysis.
- Academic: Must have Qualified CA
