Job Description
- Serve as the subject matter expert on SerDes technologies. Provide in-depth technical support to the marketing, product management, and sales teams, ensuring accurate product messaging and technical alignment.
- Develop and deliver high-quality technical marketing materials, such as whitepapers, technical articles, blog posts, case studies, and application notes, focused on SerDes solutions and their integration into customer designs.
- Lead technical discussions and presentations for customers, partners, and at industry events (e.g., webinars, trade shows, conferences). Address customer requirements, provide technical recommendations, and help optimize SerDes performance for specific use cases.
- Champion SerDes technologies by conducting internal and external product demonstrations, showcasing the impact of optimized SerDes performance in key markets such as high-performance computing, networking, automotive, and communications.
- Develop and deliver technical training sessions for both internal teams (sales, application engineers) and external customers, ensuring that stakeholders understand the capabilities and performance of SerDes technologies.
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, product management, and sales teams to influence product development based on market needs, customer feedback, and emerging industry trends. Collaborate to ensure SerDes solutions meet both technical and customer-driven requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in SerDes technologies, industry standards, and competitor offerings. Analyze customer feedback and market trends to help shape product strategies and solutions.
- Help conduct benchmarking and performance analysis of SerDes technologies, providing clear, data-driven insights to customers that validate product performance and differentiate offerings in the market.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- 7+ years of experience in SerDes technology or related fields.
- Strong background in high-speed SerDes protocols and standards (e.g., PCIe, Ethernet, USB, CXL, DP, 112G PAM4, 224G PAM4, etc.).
- Experience with SerDes architectural components, including clock data recovery (CDR), equalization techniques (e.g., continuous time linear equalization (CTLE) and decision feedback equalization (DFE)), and forward error correction (FEC).
- Proven experience in technical marketing, customer-facing roles, or product evangelism within the semiconductor or electronics industry.
- In-depth understanding of SerDes technologies and their practical applications in modern digital systems, with a focus on high-speed interfaces.
- Strong understanding of SerDes performance characteristics, including clocking schemes, jitter, error rates, and overall system optimization.
- Proficiency with measurement tools such as oscilloscopes, vector network analyzers (VNAs), and advanced SerDes performance evaluation software.
- Experience with high-speed digital design and PCB layout practices, specifically for optimizing SerDes performance in high-speed serial interfaces.
- Experience using margin analysis tools to evaluate and test the performance of SerDes-based systems
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive customer-focused initiatives and deliver technical solutions.
- Awareness of emerging technologies in the SerDes space, including next-generation protocols, high-speed signaling techniques, and design practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about complex system-level challenges related to SerDes.
- High level of self-motivation, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor s or master s degree in electrical engineering, or a related technical field.
